Have you ever wondered…

Have you ever watched something or read something and then heard what others thought about it and wondered if you actually read/saw the same thing?

Everyone has their own opinions, sure, that’s what makes life great and interesting, but when they are so far removed from each other it makes one think.

This has been happening more and more to me lately and it has left me scratching my head. I wish I could say that it just now started to happen, but that would be a fib.

But it made me curious…what is something you love/like that it seems no else does?

One that comes to the top of my mind is Police Academy 4: Citizens on Patrol. This is one of my favorites in the series. It’s hysterical! It’s fantastic! It has 0% on Rotten Tomatoes! WHAT?!

  1. Police Academy 1 and 3 were the best for me.
As for films I watched and wondered: Tommy (enjoyed because of the music, but didn’t want to see it again), Close Encounters of the Third Kind (both editions I thought were terrific), 9 and a half weeks (OK I guess and I hate anyone feeding me) and Saturday Night Fever which my friend gushed over and I thought WACOS.

  2. Yes! I have never understood the pull of “Gone With The Wind!” For me, Scarlett O’Hara isn’t the strong role model that many tout. Throughout most, if not all, of the book/movie, her primary motivation revolves around men: pleasing them, getting their attention (and them), getting their approval. I identify most strongly with Rhett’s final opinion: “Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn.”

  3. I upset one of my workmates with a comment making fun of an English soap opera which I think is dire…it turns out it is her favourite show. Best to keep my opinions to myself!
I like Police Academy – mind I have not seen any of the Police Academy movies for years, but I remember enjoying them.
