Three Things Challenge 2019 #24

Welcome to the Three Things Challenge. Everyday at midnight (CST) I will post three seemingly unconnected things that will, hopefully, ignite your muse. You don’t have to use all three things if you don’t want to. There are no restrictions on length, style, genre, or anything. Simply read the prompt, see where your muse takes you, and bring us along for the ride. Please use 3TC as a tag and link back to this prompt, or post your link in the comments below so others can find you. Happy Writing!

  1. In 1999 we were all obsessed with Y2K. I had been allocated to a special project team. One evening, sitting in the garden and pondering on preparedness, I watched a hedgehog trundling through the autumn leaves. He wasn’t worried about planes falling out of the sky. He had a simple philosophy: prepare for the coming winter. Eat. Find a nesting place. Eat some more.
The hedgehog emerged the following spring; no planes had fallen from the sky. Project successful.
