A Few Announcements

There is no easy way to say this, and I have tried to come up with a good way to say it where I don’t make someone disappointed, mad, or make myself feel like I am not providing something that many have come here for…so…

It is with a heavy heart that I announce Three Things Challenge is officially over and will not be coming back.

There are many reasons for this, and all of them are selfish. However, I want my blog to be about my writing. It has been great fun, and I loved helping some find inspiration, but I can no longer place the needs of the blog over other needs.

I will still co-host 50 Word Thursdays (assuming Kristian wants the help).

I love reading your posts and I hope you love reading mine. That being said, I will be posting less often to the blog (still daily at least), but I must shift my focus to other opportunities. I must move when my son gets out of school and if I am not bringing in some form of money, then we will be homeless. That cannot happen. My writing focus will be to paid markets first.

I will still post my work-in-progress once I get the next one going. I read a book that has made me rethink many things about Grim Reaper and Keeper of the Doors is being pulled in a different direction. Those will be coming soon though.

  1. If you’ve noticed my own blog, I haven’t been as nearly prolific lately as in the past. Other things come up. We use our blogs and other platforms to communicate, but we aren’t our blogs, and it’s okay to have a life.

  2. Good luck and best wishes for all that you need to do.

Having said that, I will greatly mourn the demise of 3 T C

How about getting another blogger to host it?
In case you consider this option
I nominate Sadje who blogs at
    Keep It Alive.
She is very dynamic and is a prolific blogger. And she is really into writing prompts and challenges.

  3. Thank you for all the effort you put into the Three Things Challenge I really enjoyed. I wish you and your son all the best in the future and look forward to reading some of your posts. Thank you for liking and commenting on some of my posts. Good luck and I hope you get tons of paid jobs.

  4. No need to apologize! Writing (especially paid writing) ought to come first – much as the writing prompts are fun – I could never keep up with all yours.
I saw your tweet about Flash Fiction – I’ll get back to on that as soon as I can (trip to Cape Town yesterday to renew my visa, then 3 x power cuts…and other stuff to do). I am so behind.
    Write Away! Go for it!

  5. Iโ€™ve been thinking about this. Iโ€™ve never stepped up to host a prompt even though I have played so many. I could be willing to try it for a month to see how it goes. If a lot of people participate, I canโ€™t guarantee to visit and comment on every story every day!

Would that be okay with you, Teresa?

  6. Gosh, How did I miss this? Probably because I don’t spend enough time checking e-mails and reading. I’m sorry to have missed it. Of course, I am happy to share the 50 word Thursdays with you as long as you want to continue with them. Doing them fortnightly helps to share the time burden. I wish you every success with your future endeavours.
